Spatially Coupled Codes with Sub-Block Locality: Joint Finite Length-Asymptotic Design Approach [PDF]
arXiv, 2020 SC-LDPC codes with sub-block locality can be decoded locally at the level of sub-blocks that are much smaller than the full code block, thus providing fast access to the coded information. The same code can also be decoded globally using the entire code block, for increased data reliability.

Elasticity of Diametrically Compressed Microfabricated Woodpile Lattices
Advanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.Modulus–porosity relationship is derived for woodpile lattices with struts under diametrical compression. The formula presented here that Young's modulus is proportional to the square of the volume fraction E˜ρ2$E \sim \left(\rho\right)^{2}$ is shown to be consistent with computations and laboratory experiments on 3D‐printed samples.
