Concatenated space-time coding
12th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications. PIMRC 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8598), 2002The serial concatenation of standard convolutional codes with differential space-time modulation is considered for fast flat fading multiple antenna channels. Decoding is performed iteratively by passing symbol-wise a-posteriori probability information between the decoders of the inner space-time code and the outer convolutional code.

This book covers the fundamental principles of space-time coding for wireless communications over multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels, and sets out practical coding methods for achieving the performance improvements predicted by the theory.

Summary: A universal framework is developed for constructing full-rate and full-diversity coherent space-time codes for systems with arbitrary numbers of transmit and receive antennas. The proposed framework combines space-time layering concepts with algebraic component codes optimized for single-input-single-output (SISO) channels. Each component code

The quantum (q) concept of space-time dynamics described previously is extended from free to interacting systems. The idea is developed that the world is not a plenum of q objects but a plexus of q processes. The q mode of description by Hilbert-space vectors with a special rule of interpretation (stators) ordinarily used for physical objects is used ...

A successor to quantum mechanics is studied. It extends atomism from matter to physical process and unites certain quantum and relativity principles with stricter finiteness, operationality, and locality. A specific kinematics is given. In it particle processes are discrete networks of elementary quantum processes, monads, of a binary nonunitary kind ...

We consider the design of space-time constellations based on group codes for fading channels with multiple transmit and receive antennas. These codes can be viewed as multi-antenna extensions of phase-shift keying, in the sense that all codewords have equal energy, all are rotations of a fixed codeword, and there is a simple differential transmission ...

Quantum concepts can be applied to space-time processes to make a quantum (q) theory that is free of the possibility of divergencies inherent in classical continuum theories, yet causal, Lorentz-invariant, and asymptotically Poincar\'e-invariant for large times.
