This paper presents a model-based implementation of modified space vector modulation (SVM) for a three-level three-phase active neutral-point clamped (ANPC) rectifier. To optimize and reduce the number of high frequency active switches, this paper uses a hybrid modulation technique in which only two switches out of 6 active switches are switching at ...

Multi-vector SVM: a new approach to space vector modulation control for six-phase induction machines
31st Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2005. IECON 2005., 2005In this paper, a new space vector modulation (SVM) technique for six-phase induction machines (SPIM) is presented. The machine has two three phase stator windings spatially shifted by 60 electrical degrees and connected to a single neutral. The neutral point may be connected to the source or not.

This paper presents digital signal processor (DSP) based direct torque control scheme using space vector modulation (DTC-SVM) for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. The analysis of PMSM shows that the increase of electromagnetic torque is proportional to the increase of the angle between the stator and rotor flux linkages and therefore ...

This work presents a new Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) method for induction motors using a novel form of Model Predictive Control (MPC). This MPC strategy is novel from the point of view of the power supply (a three phase inverter) since, instead of using a single voltage vector as the control action during a complete sampling period of the ...

For the original DTC-SVM methods, torque would decrease in steady state which could deteriorate the system performance. To fix this problem, the paper proposed a modified DTC-SVM method by introducing additional speed feedback. In the proposed strategy, the prediction of stator flux is divided into two parts which can make PI controller work more ...
