Parametric Landau damping of space charge modes

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2018
Landau damping is the mechanism of plasma and beam stabilization; it arises through energy transfer from collective modes to the incoherent motion of resonant particles.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Space charge calculations for sub-three-dimensional particle-in-cell code

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2000
A novel approach for modeling high-current, charged particle beams in a three-dimensional manner is introduced. While the integration of beam motion equations is done as in completely 3D particle-in-cell codes, the space charge forces are found by an ...

Printed Integrated Logic Circuits Based on Chitosan‐Gated Organic Transistors for Future Edible Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

The Influence of Material Modification and Residues on Space Charge Accumulation in XLPE for DC Power Cable Application

open access: yes, 2007
The effects of material modification and cross-linking by-products (residues) quantity on space charge accumulation and decay in XLPE have been investigated using the pulsed electro-acoustic technique.

Space Charge Behavior near LDPE / LDPE Interface [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We investigated the space charge behavior near the interface between different low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Charge carriers were mainly injected from the semiconductive electrode in a specimen of Al/LDPE/LDPE/semiconductive layer and they moved ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Electric field determination of polymeric dc power cable in the presence of space charge

open access: yes, 2007
Space charge in polymeric power cables has been previously measured by the pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) technique and its influence on electric field distribution has been estimated assuming that the conductivity is independent of electric field. In this
