LOCALIZED SPACE-CHARGE WAVES IN SPACE-CHARGE DOMINATED BEAMS
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 1995The physics of space-charge waves in space-charge dominated beams is presented. This includes the generation and propagation of such waves in coasting beams, and the end effect on space-charge waves in bunched beams. It is shown for the first time in experiments that a single space-charge wave can be generated, that the geometry factor g can be ...

Space-charge relaxation in perovskites
Physical Review B, 1994We report a dielectric anomaly in several perovskites at intermediate frequencies 10\ensuremath{\le}f\ensuremath{\le}${10}^{7}$ Hz in the temperature range 400 \ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C \ensuremath{\le}T\ensuremath{\le}800 \ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}C.

Space Charge Compensation with DCI
1980Extensive tests of space charge compensation, at the energy of.8 GeV, in similar conditions to those of the e+e− configuration are reported. Stability regions, smaller in size than those observed in that configuration, are found to decrease rapidly with current. Up to the limit, the beam cross-section stays constant.

Space Charge and Charge Transport in Polypropylene
2005 12th International Symposium on Electrets, 2006Space charge distributions in various polypropylene (PP) films were measured with the PEA method. Specimens were 100 /spl mu/m-thick films of homo-PP and PP-copolymers including -3 wt% ethylene which were polymerized using metallocene or Ziegler catalysts.

Charge decay and space charge in corona-charged LDPE
Proceedings. 11th International Symposium on Electrets, 2003The surface charge decay and space charge distribution in corona-charged low-density polyethylene (LDPE) were investigated. The space charge distribution was measured at 30/spl deg/C with the pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method, where a corona charged specimen was set between a semiconductive electrode and an Al electrode.

The space charge due to corona
Electrical Engineering, 1948A new technique for measuring the field strength and deducing the ion density about a wire in corona is needed. One such new method is measurement of a-c corona directly with a crystal galvanometer connected between two probe screens. The net space charge density was derived from the field strength curves in a single mathematical step, using Poisson's ...

Proceedings of the Physical Society. Section B, 1950
The paper is mainly concerned with one type of congruent flow, namely irrotational flow, and propositions are established regarding (a) rectilinear motion, (b) motion in which the current density is constant along lines of flow and (c) the representation of lines of flow by the level lines of a harmonic function.

Studies of localized space-charge waves in space-charge dominated beams
Proceedings Particle Accelerator Conference, 2002The results of the experiments on localized space-charge waves are presented. This includes the generation and propagation of space-charge waves in coasting beams, the end effect on space-charge waves in bunched beams, and the application of localized space-charge waves to beam diagnostics.

The space charge smoothing factor
Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1951The author has recently expressed the properties of a planar diode in terms of a set of differential coefficients, many of which can be experimentally determined. In the present paper these differential coefficients are used to derive a relation between the anode-current fluctuations and the fluctuation in the total emission. The fluctuation in the ...

The presence of space charge affects the value of the dispersion function. On the other hand dispersion has a role in shaping the beam distribution and therefore in determining the resulting forces due to space charge. In this paper we present a framework where the interplay between space charge and dispersion for a continuous beam can be ...
