A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Space charge and charge trapping characteristics of cross-linked polyethylene subjected to ac electric stresses

open access: yes, 2006
This paper reports on the result of space charge evolution in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) planar samples of approximately 220 ?m thick. The space charge measurement technique used in this study is the PEA method.

Impact of mechanical deformation on space charge in XLPE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we report the effect of mechanical deformation on space charge dynamics in crosslinked polyethylene. Thin films were peeled from a 66 kV commercial XLPE cable. Space charge measurements under dc electric fields have been monitored using the

Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Space Charge Behavior in Ethylene Propylene Rubber Under a 50-Hz AC Electric Field

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this study, the space charge behavior in ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) under a 50-Hz AC field is studied based on the variation of space charge response, FTIR spectra and impurity contents inside EPR with thermal treatment.

Space Charge Behaviour in LDPE after AC Ageing

open access: yes, 2004
Space charge accumulation after ac ageing and its effect on dc poling has been studied in low-density polyethylene (LDPE). LDPE film samples with thickness of around 180mm were aged at an electric stress of 50kV/mm under 50 Hz ac voltage for various ...

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.
