Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The role of habitat complexity in community development is mediated by resource availability. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Habitat complexity strongly affects the structure and dynamics of ecological communities, with increased complexity often leading to greater species diversity and abundance.

Complex-symmetric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Fourier, 1989
A compact complex space X is called complex-symmetric with respect to a subgroup G of the group Aut 0 (X), if each point of X is isolated fixed point of an involutive automorphism of G. It follows that G is almost G 0 -homogeneous. After some examples we classify normal complex-symmetric varieties with G 0 reductive. It turns out that X is a product

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

“Robots in Space” Multiagent Problem: Complexity, Information and Cryptographic Aspects

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2013
We study a multiagent algorithmic problem that we call Robot in Space (RinS): There are n ≥ 2 autonomous robots, that need to agree without outside interference on distribution of shelters, so that straight pathes to the shelters will not intersect.

Novel mathematical model for the classification of music and rhythmic genre using deep neural network

open access: yesJournal of Big Data, 2023
Music Genre Classification (MGC) is a crucial undertaking that categorizes Music Genre (MG) based on auditory information. MGC is commonly employed in the retrieval of music information.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
