A Thermal-Solar System for De-Orbiting of Space Debris [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2018
This paper presents a system for removal of space debris, which can be placed on geocentric, heliocentric or Sun-synchronous orbit. The system is composed of two parabolic mirrors, a large one and a small one.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

Space Debris: Optical Measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Space debris is a major threat to the satellite infrastructure. A collision with even small particle, e.g. 1 cm of size, can cause a catastrophic event when the parent body, spacecraft or upper stage, will break up into hundreds of trackable fragments.

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

A low jitter regenerative amplification picosecond pulse laser with the external trigger signal as local main wave for the SLR

open access: yesResults in Optics
A distributed feedback picosecond (DFB) pulse laser has been designed with a single pulse energy of 5 pJ and a pulse width of 200 ps, resulting in a spectrum width of 0.12 nm.

Towards the Creation of an Adequate Legal Regime for the Active Space Debris Removal from Outer Space

open access: yesМосковский журнал международного права, 2016
The article deals with the problem of development of an adequate legal regime for the active space debris removal from outer space. Authors examine the existing norms of international space law through the prism of their applicability to the active space

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Proper elements for space debris

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 2022
Abstract Proper elements are quasi-invariants of a Hamiltonian system, obtained through a normalization procedure. Proper elements have been successfully used to identify families of asteroids, sharing the same dynamical properties.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
