Thermally Drawn Shape and Stiffness Programmable Fibers for Medical Devices
Thermal drawing technique is adapted to fabricate Shape Memory Polymer Fibers (SMPFs) with programmable stiffness and shape. Multilumen and multimaterial SMPFs are developed for innovative medical devices: stiffness adjustable catheters, body temperature softening neural interfaces, and shape programmable cochlear implants.

Efflux‐mediated resistance compromises antibiotic efficacy, yet rapid detection remains elusive. This study presents a novel phenazinium‐based diagnostic molecule for quantifying bacterial efflux levels in Gram‐positive pathogens. The optimized compound enables precise, real‐time efflux assessment using fluorescence and colorimetric techniques ...

Cluster & Disperse: a general air conflict resolution heuristic using unsupervised learning [PDF]
We provide a general and malleable heuristic for the air conflict resolution problem. This heuristic is based on a new neighborhood structure for searching the solution space of trajectories and flight-levels. Using unsupervised learning, the core idea of our heuristic is to cluster the conflict points and disperse them in various flight levels.
