Interannual Variations of TOA Albedo over the Arctic, Antarctic and Tibetan Plateau in 2000–2019
Recent changes in Earth’s climate system have significantly affected the radiation budget and its year-to-year variations at top of the atmosphere (TOA). Observing high-latitude TOA fluxes is still challenging from space, because spatial inhomogeneity of

Updated Spherical Harmonic Magnetic Field Moments of Ganymede From the Juno Flyby
In this study, we use data from the Juno and Galileo spacecraft to analyze the internal magnetic dynamo of Ganymede. As the only known moon with a strong internal magnetic field, Ganymede is a uniquely interesting object in the context of understanding ...

FROM SPACE FLIGHTS TO OSTEOPOROSIS
Space missions (microgravity) alter the balance between bone formation/resorption and induce bone loss. This effect represents a major limiting step in the realization of long-term space missions. A similar picture is induced by prolonged immobilization at bed (bed rest).

Osteocyte biology and space flight [PDF]
The last decade has seen an impressive expansion of our understanding of the role of osteocytes in skeletal homeostasis. These amazing cells, deeply embedded into the mineralized matrix, are the key regulators of bone homeostasis and skeletal mechano sensation and transduction. They are the cells that can sense the mechanical forces applied to the bone

Homogenous FACsPbI3 Perovskite Solar Cells Enabled by a Seed‐Facilitated Cation Exchange Strategy
A novel seed‐facilitated cation exchange strategy is designed for homogenous FACsPbI3 perovskites using the biomass‐derived solvent γ‐valerolactone. Pre‐deposited 0D Cs4PbI6 seeds induce rapid nucleation and efficient cation exchange, producing a uniform FA–Cs distribution and significantly reducing defect density, enabling high‐performance and stable ...

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

Ocean Temperature Profiling Lidar: Analysis of Technology and Potential for Rapid Ocean Observations
Development of ocean measurement technologies can improve monitoring of the global Ocean Heat Content (OHC) and Heat Storage Rate (HSR) that serve as early-warning indices for climate-critical circulation processes such as the Atlantic Meridional ...
