Transient Current Responses of Organic Electrochemical Transistors: Evaluating Ion Diffusion, Chemical Capacitance, and Series Elements

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work establishes a general theory of the current transient of ionic‐electronic transistors under a step of gate voltage. The dominant effect is a transient charging of the channel by diffusion of ions. The additional influence of electrolyte capacitance and resistance splits the fundamental time constant of diffusion into two different components.

The spatial evolution of economic activities: from theory to estimation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper studies the evolution of economic activities using a continuous time-space aggregation-diffusion model, which encompasses competing effects of agglomeration and congestion. To bring the model to the real data, a novel discretization technique over time and space is introduced. This technique effectively disentangles spatial effects into pure

A Technical Note on Comparative Dynamics in a Fiscal Competition Model [PDF]

open access: yes
This note discusses the comparative dynamic analysis in "Fiscal competition in space and time" by David Wildasin (Journal of Public Economics, Vol. 87, 2003) from a technical point of view.dynamic tax competition, imperfect capital mobility, comparative ...

Econophysics of Macro-Finance: Local Multi-fluid Models and Surface-like Waves of Financial Variables [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
This paper models macro financial variables alike to financial fluids with local interactions and describes surface-like waves of Investment and Profits. We regard macro-finance as ensemble of economic agents and use their risk ratings as coordinates on economic space.

Shape‐Stabilization of Phase Change Materials with Carbon‐Conscious Poly(hydroxy)Urethane Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Poly(hydroxy)urethane (PHU) foam, derivable from carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio‐based resources, is a promising material platform for shape‐stabilizing phase change materials (PCMs). We demonstrate the encapsulation of both paraffins and calcium chloride hexahydrate in PHU foam, achieving 48 stable thermal cycles by introducing 5 wt.% barium carbonate ...

On the Analogy of Gauge Theory of Plasticity and Economics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We demonstrated the analogy between Economics and Gauge Theory of Plasticity and used it to describe the relationship between money supply and inflation at the economic market. The received equations of economical dynamics in phase space are similar to the plasticity equations and economic variables - choice, competition and profit correspond to the ...

Econophysics of Business Cycles: Aggregate Economic Fluctuations, Mean Risks and Mean Square Risks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
This paper presents hydrodynamic-like model of business cycles aggregate fluctuations of economic and financial variables. We model macroeconomics as ensemble of economic agents on economic space and agent's risk ratings play role of their coordinates. Sum of economic variables of agents with coordinate x define macroeconomic variables as functions of ...
