Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Microstructural and mechanical property gradients along the thickness direction of plasma arc welded thick aluminum alloy plate joints

open access: yesHanjie xuebao
To address the issue of insufficient strength in weld joints of thick aluminum alloys, a variable polarity plasma arc-tungsten inert gas (VPPA-TIG) composite welding process was proposed. The welding quality of VPPA-TIG composite welding was validated by

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Subaperture Imaging Algorithm for Squinted Automotive FMCW SAR Based on CLOSI-Omega-K

open access: yesIEEE Access
Due to the short duration of automotive frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) synthetic aperture radar (SAR), targets located at the edge of the imaging scene are often distorted in the SAR image, rendering conventional imaging algorithms ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A rapid algorithm for millimeter-wave near-field three-dimensional image reconstruction based on FiNUFFT

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing
The data to be processed in near-field three-dimensional (3D) imaging is of a considerable volume. The interpolation operation is both time-consuming and introduces interpolation errors, which considerably degrade both accuracy of the imaging and the ...

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
