Ag Nanowire‐Integrated MoS2/ZnO Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient Photogenerated Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 6, May 2025.
A versatile strategy is reported for fabricating multi‐dimensional heterojunctions with significantly improved charge transfer capability. By integrating Ag nanowires with a MoS2/ZnO heterojunction, a fourfold increase in surface photovoltage is achieved, reaching 200 mV under visible light illumination.

MEDEA: A New Model for Emulating Radio Antenna Beam Patterns for 21 cm Cosmology and Antenna Design Studies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In 21 cm experimental cosmology, accurate characterization of a radio telescope’s antenna beam response is essential to measure the 21 cm signal. Computational electromagnetic (CEM) simulations estimate the antenna beam pattern and frequency response by ...

Gamma ray astronomy in the low energy range

open access: yes, 1979
A low energy gamma ray telescope, and the results of its observations are described. The telescope consisted of four sodium iodide crystals, each of 120 cm2 area, occulted by lead discs.

Emergent Spin Fluctuation and Structural Metastability in Self‐Intercalated Cr1+xTe2${\rm Cr}_{1+x}{\rm Te}_2$ Compounds

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Metastable superstructure and emergent spin fluctuation in self‐intercalated Cr1+xTe2${\rm Cr}_{1+x}{\rm Te}_2$ ABSTRACT Intercalated van der Waals (vdW) magnetic materials host unique magnetic properties due to the interplay of competing interlayer and intralayer exchange couplings, which depend on the intercalant concentration within the van der ...

Enhanced Peak and Extended Cooling of the Extreme-ultraviolet Late Phase in a Confined Solar Flare

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present observations and analysis of an X1.8 noneruptive solar flare on 2012 October 23, which is characterized by an extremely large late-phase peak seen in the warm coronal extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) emissions (∼3 MK), with the peak intensity over 1 ...

Cosmology and large-scale structure from quasar redshift surveys [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Our aim in this thesis is to use the clustering of QSOs to investigate large- scale structure and cosmology. We are particularly concerned with estimating the cosmological parameters which govern the evolution of structure in the Universe.

Atomically Modulating Competing Exchange Interactions in Centrosymmetric Skyrmion Hosts GdRu2X2 (X = Si and Ge)

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Our work bridges the gap between skyrmion discovery and material design by demonstrating how atomic‐scale control of exchange interactions enables tunable skyrmion phase transitions in centrosymmetric magnetic metals. ABSTRACT Magnetic skyrmions are topologically protected spin states that hold promise for shaping the future of electronics.

Influence of Cross-sectional Expansion on Coronal Emissions from a Radiatively Cooling Solar Flare Loop

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Loop-aligned hydrodynamic modelings help better understand the thermodynamic evolution of flaring plasma confined in solar flare loops. Conventional loop modelings typically assume a uniform loop cross section. With a variation of the cross section taken
