Pressure sensing for in-suit measurement of space suited biomechanics
Acta Astronautica, 2015Abstract Extravehicular Activity (EVA) is a critical component of human spaceflight, but working in gas-pressurized space suits causes fatigue, excessive energy expenditure, and injury. Relatively little is known about how the astronaut moves and interacts with the space suit, and what factors lead to injury.

V-SUIT - An Approach Towards a Virtual Space Suit
42nd International Conference on Environmental Systems, 2012The dynamic life support system (LSS) simulation software Virtual Habitat (V-HAB) has been under development at the Technische Universitat Munchen since 2006. V-HAB allows the dynamic simulation of habitat life support systems and their interaction with a human model, as well the environment of the habitat.

The EVA space suit development in Europe
Acta Astronautica, 1994The progress of the European EVA space suit predevelopment activities has resulted in an improved technical reference concept, which will form the basis for a start of the Phase C/D development work in 1992. Technology development work over the last 2 years has resulted in a considerable amount of test data and a better understanding of the ...
