New Auxiliary Vector Synthesis for Expanding Linear Modulation Range With the Ability to Eliminate CMV Spikes in the SVM Three-Phase Inverters

open access: yesIEEE Access
Some strategies are used to reduce the high output common-mode voltage (CMV) in three-phase inverters with the space-vector modulation (SVM). However, these reduced CMV (RCMV) strategies may still lead to high spikes in some cases.

Elimination of Common Mode Voltage in Three-To-Six-Phase Matrix Converter

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
The matrix converter (MC) is the n-phase input and m-phase output power electronic system. To synthesis the controllable sinusoidal output voltage and input current with controllable input displacement angle, the pulse width modulation method (PWM) is ...

Synthetic space vector modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Alternating current motors are used throughout the fleet because of their rugged construction and nearly maintenance free operation. Since the U.S. Navy is exploring and acting on the possibilities of DC distribution systems, the need exists for simple ...

Modular space-vector pulse-width modulation for nine-switch converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Recently, nine-switch inverter (NSI) has been presented as a dual-output inverter with constant frequency (CF) or different frequency (DF) operation modes. However, the CF mode is more interesting because of its lower switching device rating.

Toward Predictable Nanomedicine: Current Forecasting Frameworks for Nanoparticle–Biology Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

A Varied VSVM Strategy for Balancing the Neutral-Point Voltage of DC-Link Capacitors in Three-Level NPC Converters

open access: yesEnergies, 2015
In the research field of multilevel converters, three-level NPC (neutral-point-clamped) converters, which unfortunately may cause the deviation of the neutral-point voltage of DC-link capacitors, are widely discussed.

Mapped phase-shifted space vector modulation for multi-level voltage-source inverters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A new multi-level space vector modulation (SVM) technique, termed mapped phase-shifted SVM, is proposed. The SVM technique enables the use of two-level SVM with multi-level inverters without introducing any carrier level modulation or phase shifts.

Interpretable Machine Learning for Bandgap Prediction and Descriptor‐Guided Design Rules of Phosphates

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
An explainable CatBoost model was trained to predict the bandgaps of 474 phosphate crystals based on composition and density descriptors. SHAP analysis identified two key variables—d‐electron‐count dispersion and atomic‐density dispersion—as the primary drivers of the model's predictions.
