Simulation and experiment study of space vector pulse width modulation

2009 9th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments, 2009
The basic principle of the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is introduced and the realized method is given in the Simulink environment in details. Then the SVPWM algorithms are researched in-depth by simulation analysis and verification. On this basis, the experiment results are acquired by using the advanced experimental equipment dSPACE.

Modeling and applications of space vector pulse width modulator

IECON'99. Conference Proceedings. 25th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (Cat. No.99CH37029), 2003
A space vector (SV) algorithm with pulse width modulation (PWM) has been analyzed, modeled and formed as a top-level hierarchical template for multiple use by the Saber simulator. The template incorporates a detecting scheme for determining the angular sector occupied by the space vector at a time, a time-base sweep scheme that decodes the switching ...

Maximum pulse width space vector modulation for soft-switching inverters

2001 IEEE 32nd Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37230), 2002
The minimum pulse width constraint for the pulse width modulation (PWM) signals of the main devices in load side soft-switching inverters leads to more harmonic distortion of load current and the limited voltage conversion ratio. To alleviate these problems, a space vector modulation (SVM) scheme achieving the maximum pulse width (MPW) is presented ...

An efficient microprocessor-based pulse-width modulator using space vector modulation strategy

Proceedings of IECON'94 - 20th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2002
Pulse width modulation using the space vector methodology (SVM) in order to determine the switching instants of the PWM invertor waveforms has been exploited. This scheme offers the extended output voltage capability of the PWM waveform. A microprocessor-based algorithm for PWM waveform generation using the SVM strategy is presented. This algorithm was

Switching state algorithm for Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM)

7th Mediterranean Conference and Exhibition on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion (MedPower 2010), 2010
This paper introduces a study of space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique and explain the switching state algorithm for three phase voltage source inverter based on volt-sec balance equation. The main objective of this switching state algorithm (SSA) is that it gives the clear picture about the space vector modulation (SVM) wave generation

A Randomization Method to Zero Vector Distribution of Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation

Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2016
Aiming at complicated characteristic analysis and implementation of the randomization space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) scheme, a new random zero vector distribution SVPWM scheme with a fixed randomization range is proposed. Firstly, the principle of the new scheme is given. In addition, the harmonic distortion factor is presented.

Space-Vector Versus Nearest-Level Pulse Width Modulation for Multilevel Converters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2015
This paper studies the inherent relationship between two widely used pulse width modulation (PWM) methods for multilevel converters, i.e., the space vector modulation (SVM) method, also called space vector pulse width modulation, and the nearest-level modulation method.

Multifrequency space vector pulse width modulation for asymmetrical six-phase drives

2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017
Pulse width modulation (PWM) strategies for the control of asymmetrical six-phase drives have been widely studied since the beginning of this century. Carrier-based and different space vector PWM algorithms have been developed and evaluated. Nevertheless, there are still some challenges that require research work in this field.

Analysis of BLDC motor performance using space vector pulse width modulation

2016 International Conference on Computation of Power, Energy Information and Commuincation (ICCPEIC), 2016
This paper reveals the performance of brushless dc motor with sinusoidal pulse width modulation and space vector pulse width modulation. Conventionally sine PWM method is used for the BLDC drive operation because of its easy implementation. But, the efficiency of system becomes less.
