Interleaved PWM with discontinuous space-vector modulation

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1999
This paper describes the effect of interleaved discontinuous space-vector modulation (SVM) in paralleled three-phase systems using three-phase pulsewidth modulation (PWM) rectifiers as an example. At the discontinuous point of the SVM, the phase shift between the switching signals of the paralleled modules generates a zero-sequence excitation to the ...

Space vector PWM control of BLDC motor

2017 International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC), 2017
A brushless dc motor is characterized by high efficiency with good life time. For a motor to have high performance, it requires accurate speed and to recover quickly from any disturbances, sensitive to motor parameter variations. Different speed controllers are widely used to operate the motor with proper reference speed.

Space vector PWM control of dual three phase induction machine using vector space decomposition

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 1995
The technique of vector space decomposition control of voltage source inverter fed dual three-phase induction machines is presented in this paper. By vector space decomposition, the analytical modeling and control of the machine are accomplished in three two-dimensional orthogonal subspaces and the dynamics of the electromechanical energy conversion ...

A Simplified Space-Vector PWM Scheme for N-Level NPC Inverter Based on Two-Level Space-Vector PWM

2014 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC), 2014
This paper proposes a general dwell-time equations for N-level inverter that are derived without the complex calculation. Contrary to the conventional method which has two dwell-time equations due to types, the proposed dwell-time equation is defined as one equation without the separated types. This method proceeds following step.

A novel overmodulation technique for space vector PWM inverters

PESC97. Record 28th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Formerly Power Conditioning Specialists Conference 1970-71. Power Processing and Electronic Specialists Conference 1972, 1998
In this paper, a novel overmodulation technique for space-vector pulsewidth modulation (PWM) inverters is proposed. The overmodulation range is divided into two modes depending on the modulation index (MI). In mode I, the reference angles are derived from the Fourier series expansion of the reference voltage which corresponds to the MI. In mode II, the

Comparison of vector sigma-delta modulation and space-vector PWM

2000 26th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 2000. 2000 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control and Instrumentation. 21st Century Technologies and Industrial Opportunities (Cat. No.00CH37141), 2002
The paper introduces certain modifications to the basic idea of vector sigma-delta modulation (VSDM), aimed to eliminate the polarity reversals in the line-line voltages, and to reduce the inverter switching losses. The performance of this modified VSDM is then compared with the space-vector PWM (SVPWM).

Space Vector PWM Algorithms for Three-level Inverter

2021
Variable frequency and variable voltage are increasingly supplied by a three-level voltage source inverter for variable speed applications. The appropriate output voltage at the line side of the inverter is obtained using a suitable pulse width modulation technique.

FPGA realization of three-phase Space-Vector PWM

2008 Chinese Control and Decision Conference, 2008
A novel digital design of space-vector pulse width modulator (SVPWM) is presented. The proposed design is implemented on a FPGA (XC3S500E) from Xilinx. The whole design structure contains three level pipelines, with adjustable switching frequency and dead time, whose parameters should be adapted to the different situations.

PWM space vector based in digital scalar modulation

PESC97. Record 28th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Formerly Power Conditioning Specialists Conference 1970-71. Power Processing and Electronic Specialists Conference 1972, 2002
The digital PWM methods can be based on scalar as well as on vector modulation approach. This paper shows the complete relation to obtain the equivalence between vector and scalar digital modulation approaches. From this equivalence a simple software algorithm is proposed to generate the space vector modulation from the scalar implementation. Simulated
