The relationship between space-vector modulation and regular-sampled PWM

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1997
The relationship between regular-sampled pulse-width modulation (PWM) and space-vector modulation for inverter drives is defined, and it is shown that, under certain circumstances, the two approaches are equivalent. The various possibilities of adding a zero-sequence component to the regular-sampled sinusoidal modulating wave are explored, and these ...

Synchronization Analysis of Space-Vector PWM Converters With Distributed Control

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2010
Synchronization effects and performance degradations of the distributed inverter built with several integrated modules for space vector modulation strategy are presented in the paper. Under the control of distributed SVPWM strategy, the building modules of the inverter generate their target output voltage vectors separately, and keep simultaneously ...

Space vector PWM control of dual three phase induction machine using vector space decomposition

Proceedings of 1994 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 1995
The technique of vector space decomposition control of voltage source inverter fed dual three-phase induction machines is presented in this paper. By vector space decomposition, the analytical modeling and control of the machine are accomplished in three two-dimensional orthogonal subspaces and the dynamics of the electromechanical energy conversion ...

A Comparative Study of Sinusoidal PWM and Space Vector PWM of an Induction Machine

2019
The inverter is a static converter that provides an AC voltage of adjustable amplitude and frequency from a DC voltage source. Any type of inverter (voltage or current) requires a control technique that depends on the type of machine to be controlled. Mainly, the standard performance makes it possible to evaluate and compare the different techniques of

Space vector PWM signal generation for multilevel inverters using only the sampled amplitudes of reference phase voltages

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, 2005
A pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme for multilevel inverters is proposed. The proposed PWM scheme generates the inverter leg switching times, from the sampled reference phase voltage amplitudes and centres the switching times for the middle vectors, in

A space vector PWM realization technique in matrix converter

2016 17th International Conference of Young Specialists on Micro/Nanotechnologies and Electron Devices (EDM), 2016
In this study a Direct Matrix Converter operated under the proposed Space Vector PWM realization pattern is considered. The basic principles of converter functioning are given, the comparison between considered control strategies is performed; also the content of low-order harmonics in the spectrum of input/output signals is investigated.

Modeling and Simulation of Space Vector PWM Inverter

2011 International Conference on Devices and Communications (ICDeCom), 2011
The evolution of power device technology and the development of large integrated circuits in the recent years have paved the way for the modern fast switching Pulse width modulated (PWM) technique for DC-AC power conversion. One of the standard PWM techniques is the space-vectormodulation(SVM) technique utilized for DC-AC power conversion, the ...

Realization of an FPGA-Based Space-Vector PWM Controller

2006 CES/IEEE 5th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2006
This paper presents a design of space-vector PWM (SVPWM) integrated circuit. The proposed strategy is implemented and verified on a single Altera's Cyclonetrade series of FPGA (EPICF400C7). Experimental results show that this controller can present an excellent drive performance and its switching frequency, as well as its dead time, is adjustable.

Application of Voltage Space Vector PWM in Electronic Load

2009 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2009
By analyzing the basic principle of voltage space vector PWM (SVPWM) and the AC electronic load which consists of voltage source PWM rectifier, a novel current control method is proposed. The control strategy combining the SVPWM and hysteresis current control technology is adopted.
