A Coverage Sampling Path Planning Method Suitable for UAV 3D Space Atmospheric Environment Detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Air pollution affects people’s life and health, and controlling air pollution requires the collection of polluting gas information. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been used for environmental detection due to their characteristics.

Measuring Physical Properties at the Surface of a Comet Nucleus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The European Space Agency’s cornerstone mission Rosetta is due for launch in January 2003. It will perform a rendezvous with comet 46P/Wirtanen beyond 3 AU and, following an initial mapping phase, deploy a lander to a selected site on the nucleus surface.

MOBILE OPTICAL HIGH-SPEED DATA LINKS WITH SMALL TERMINALS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Mobile Optical Free-Space Communication (MFSO) downlinks from observation platforms in low earth orbit or in the atmosphere will allow nearly undetectable high-speed data links with small and low-power laser communication terminals.

Program of Small Satellites Application for Observation of Smallsized Fractions of Space Debris [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Available ground optic and radar facilities are not capable to observe small sized fragments (less than 10 cm) of space debris, being a serious danger for manned flights safety and long-term automatic space vehicles.

Cosmic perspectives in space physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In the early years of the twentieth century, Victor Hess of Germany flew instruments in balloons and so discovered in 1912 that an extra-~errestial radiation of unknown origin is incident on the earth with an almost constant intensity at all times. These

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
