Phase‐Space Synchronization Driven by Moon‐Magnetosphere Coupling in Gas Giants
Abstract We present a new theoretical framework to describe the rapid and spatially localized loss of energetic particles in planetary radiation belts, focusing on interactions between gas giant magnetospheres and their moons. Observations show that flux depletions—known as microsignatures—often refill on timescales comparable to a single drift period,

Periodic Density Structures Observed in Ulysses Data: First Results
Abstract Periodic density structures (PDSs) are advecting quasi‐periodic (periodicities between several minutes and several hours) density enhancements observed in the solar wind and corona. There is strong evidence that PDSs are formed at the Sun.

Spacecraft formation flying using bifurcating potential fields [PDF]
The distributed control of spacecraft flying in formation has been shown to have advantages over conventional single spacecraft systems. These include scalability, flexibility and robustness to failures. This paper considers the real problem of actuator saturation and shows how bound control laws can be developed that allow pattern formation and ...

Abstract Cherenkov detectors have been used in space for decades to measure Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs), Solar Energetic Particles (SEPs) and trapped particles. We present proof‐of‐concept GRAS/Geant4 simulations to both show that a cubic fused silica Cherenkov detector with SiPM in LEO has a good sensitivity to SEP and GCR protons as a function of cut‐

JWST/NIRSpec Reveals the Atmospheric Driver of Saturn's Variable Magnetospheric Rotation Rate
Abstract Past measurements of Saturn's upper atmosphere have allowed only a broad scale view of the temperature and ion density structures within the auroral region. However, Saturn's auroral currents include a planetary period current component that is produced by neutral atmospheric flows.

Imaging the Perpendicular Plasma Dynamics Driving a Discrete Auroral Arc
Abstract Measurements of motions and structuring in auroral luminosity are combined with magnetically connected plasma measurements from the Reimei spacecraft to image the perpendicular plasma dynamics active above a discrete auroral arc. It is demonstrated how the inversion of optical flow patterns specifies the potential structure above regions of ...

Abstract Foreshock Bubbles (FBs) are large‐scale transient structures found in Earth's foreshock region and are associated with foreshock‐discontinuity interaction. FBs play a significant role in accelerating and energizing plasma through various mechanisms.

Abstract This study presents simultaneous measurements of electron phase space density (PSD) gradients in geostationary orbit using data from GK2A, GOES‐16, and GOES‐17. By leveraging a three‐satellite configuration, we provide statistical results of PSD gradient estimation in invariant coordinates.
