Coverable Self‐Cleaning Glass via Abnormal Transport and Jump of Charged Particles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The abnormal reverse lateral transport behavior of charged particles is reported. The mechanism of transport and jump behaviors of charged particles is revealed. Furthermore, a transparent and simple self‐cleaning glass driven by the electric field is developed.

Tailored Electro–Magnetic–Porous Multigradient Nanoarchitectonics for Absorption‐Dominated Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Adaptive Multifunctionality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An electro–magnetic–porous multigradient nanofibrous electromagnetic interference (EMI) membrane is fabricated via shear‐induced in situ fibrillation and layer‐by‐layer assembly. Leveraging a multigradient‐induced “impedance matching–polarization–reabsorption” synergistic mechanism, the membrane achieves absorption‐dominated high‐efficiency EMI ...

Design and trade-offs of a pole-sitter mission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper provides a mission analysis and systems design of a pole-sitter mission, i.e. a spacecraft that is continuously above an Earth Pole, and can provide real-time, continuous and hemispherical coverage of the polar regions.

Prolonged Cell Encapsulation and Gravity‐independent Filamented Light Biofabrication of Muscle Constructs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gravity‐independent filamented light (G‐FLight) projection method is presented for rapid biofabrication of anisotropic tissues, demonstrated with muscle constructs as a target application. Specialized photocrosslinkable resins enable refrigeration or cryopreservation with encapsulated cells.

Predicting Performance of Hall Effect Ion Source Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study introduces HallNN, a machine learning tool for predicting Hall effect ion source performance using a neural network ensemble trained on data generated from numerical simulations. HallNN provides faster and more accurate predictions than numerical methods and traditional scaling laws, making it valuable for designing and optimizing Hall ...
