Development and deployment of a public mid‐density genotyping panel for crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum L.) based on whole‐genome re‐sequencing of diverse germplasm

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract Crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum L.) is an obligately outcrossing, cool‐season annual legume valued for forage and cover cropping, yet genomic resources to support systematic improvement are limited. We performed the first whole‐genome re‐sequencing of global crimson clover germplasm to (i) develop a public mid‐density enrichment capture ...

AVA‐MAPbI3 Cap‐and‐Root Islands on Mesoporous TiO2 Toward Neutral‐Color Semi‐Transparent Perovskite Solar Cells in Agrivoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Photograph and scanning electron microscopy images of semi‐transparent AVA‐MAPbI3 cap‐and‐root islands in mesoporous TiO2. The spectrally neutral light transmitted by this architecture benefits agrivoltaic applications such as lettuce cultivation while maintaining a positive energy balance to meet annual greenhouse demands for lighting, irrigation, and

Wheat Wild Relatives and Modern Cultivars Differ for Salt Resistance in Terms of Morpho‐Physiological Traits

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 189, Issue 5, Page 721-734, October 2026.
Wheat wild relatives are untapped genetic resources from salinity and drought hit areas. This study presents differential comparative morphophysiological responses of these species and modern wheat cultivars under saline conditions. Salt resistant species produce more shoot and root biomass under saline conditions through salt exclusion and/or tissue ...

Multifunctional Rhizobacterial Consortia Enhance Growth and Yield of Common Bean Across Field Conditions

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 5, October 2026.
Consortia of plant growth‐promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) enhance the growth and development of common bean plants, improving root system development, nutrient use efficiency and grain yield. These bioinputs reduce dependence on mineral fertilizers and support eco‐efficient agriculture, offering a sustainable alternative in diverse soil and climate ...

Genome‐Wide Screening and Functional Verification of the Tobacco SGR Family Identify Transcription‐Factor‐Like NtSGRL as a Negative Regulator of Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus Resistance

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 10, October 2026.
A chloroplast‐associated STAY‐GREEN protein, NtSGRL1, acts as a negative regulator of antiviral immunity in tobacco. Disruption of NtSGRL1 enhances resistance to diverse plant viruses and reveals a previously unrecognized link between chloroplast regulation and immune signalling.

A factorial multi‐layer analysis reveals non‐additive sulfur–iron interactions shaping metabolic and transcriptional responses in durum wheat

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 252, Issue 1, Page 192-208, October 2026.
Working model of S‐dependent Fe stress integration in durum wheat. S availability acts as the main factor defining the metabolic and transcriptional state of the plant, whereas Fe mainly affects the intensity of these responses. This is particularly evident for OAS, methionine, citrate and asparagine, which accumulated most strongly under combined S ...

Switchable Dual Emission of Luminescent Metal–Organic Framework@Nanoparticle Composites of EuBDC and ZrO‐Containing Hybrid Materials

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 26, 16 September 2026.
Luminescent metal–organic framework@nanoparticle composites show dual emission of both components EuBDC and zirconyl‐containing nanoparticles, being reversible, excitation energy‐dependent and solvatochromic switches. The chromaticity changes are fast, as no chemical transformation is involved and required as source of the dual emission.
