Vehicular Visible Light Communications with SPAD Receivers
Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are increasingly used in automotive exterior lighting. The expected wide availability of LED-based front and back lights makes visible light communication (VLC) a natural vehicular connectivity solution. A major challenge in vehicular VLC systems is their relatively poor performance in adverse weather conditions such as ...

ABSTRACT Climate change‐driven heat and drought stresses during reproductive stages significantly threaten wheat productivity. To investigate the genetic and physiological basis of combined heat–drought (HD) tolerance, we evaluated 345 wheat genotypes under three environments of HD stresses, non‐stress glasshouse conditions and a late‐sowing field ...

ABSTRACT Drought tolerance in crops often involves trade‐offs between water conservation, growth and reproduction. Understanding how water‐saving strategies are implemented at physiological and metabolic levels remains critical for improving crop performance under water‐limited conditions.

Low Impact of Nitrogen Fertilization on Grafted Tomatoes under High-tunnel Production
High-tunnel systems can improve and prolong production under challenging climate, but research on nitrogen management and grafting is still needed. This study analyzes the effects of rootstock and two N fertilization levels in northern Nevada under high ...

Substrate Drench Applications of Flurprimidol and Paclobutrazol Influence Growth of Swamp Sunflower
Swamp sunflower (Helianthus simulans) is an underused perennial plant native to the southeastern United States that produces an abundance of golden yellow inflorescences in the fall. It is a vigorous grower and tolerates a wide variety of soil conditions,

ABSTRACT Little is known about regulatory mechanisms that crop plants use to respond to combinations of abiotic and biotic stress. We analysed four barley genotypes under simultaneous Fusarium culmorum infection and drought stress by phenotyping for Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) disease, drought stress responses, hormone profiling and transcriptome ...

Combined Fe deficiency and drought in durum wheat trigger interactive responses: drought suppressed root Fe uptake regardless of Fe availability, and both stresses altered phytosiderophore release, ABA level and Fe transporter gene expression, revealing a trade‐off between water and Fe. Abstract Iron (Fe) is essential for plants and humans, with over 2

Sulphur‐mediated iron homeostasis in four tetraploid wheats (Triticum turgidum L.)
Polish wheat's tolerance to S limitation enables a well‐orchestrated response for efficient Fe acquisition when S is scarce, involving increased Fe accumulation, enhanced phytosiderophore release, and upregulated TdIRO2 and TdYSL15 expression. Abstract Sulphur (S) deficiency is known to hinder iron (Fe) uptake and distribution in wheat, mainly by ...

Nitrogen (N) management in macadamia (Macadamia integrifolia) orchards is an important concern for growers. Leaf tissue analysis is the accepted method for determining N status in macadamia; however, this process is expensive and time-consuming.

SPAD: Spatially Aware Multi-View Diffusers
We present SPAD, a novel approach for creating consistent multi-view images from text prompts or single images. To enable multi-view generation, we repurpose a pretrained 2D diffusion model by extending its self-attention layers with cross-view interactions, and fine-tune it on a high quality subset of Objaverse.
