The PVA‐GA hydrogel is formed through hydrogen bonding between PVA hydroxyl groups and GA galloyl units, enabling sustainable GA release and its extended biological activity. The hydrogel scavenges ROS to reduce oxidative stress, preventing mitochondrial damage from excessive ROS, mitigating hADSC senescence, and preserving VEGF secretion, offering a ...

A direct interaction between the Parkinson's disease protein leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 and specific β-tubulin isoforms regulates tubulin acetylation [PDF]
Mutations in LRRK2 are a common cause of Parkinson’s disease (PD). LRRK2 encodes leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2), a ROCO protein. It has an enzymatic core consisting of a Ras of complex proteins (Roc) GTPase domain and kinase domain, surrounded by ...

A magnetic microrobot fabricated by Spirulina platensis is proposed to accumulate in tumor regions and generate in situ high calcium concentration and sufficient oxygen. These characteristics of the microrobot present a strategy for triggering calcium overload therapy and chlorophyll‐mediated photodynamic therapy, and such combination resulted in a ...

Minimal residual disease (MRD) leads to cancer relapse and poor survival in ovarian cancer. The lack of representative 3D models limits therapy development. The microfluidics‐based high throughput 3D microtumor platform described here generates clinically‐relevant MRD models. The 3D microtumors recapitulate the molecular signatures of MRD from patients.
