Emission characteristics of SPAN-80 activated ZnS nanocolloids
Journal of Luminescence, 2012Abstract Quantum surface effects (new emission bands, blueshifts, intensity enhancement) were observed in SPAN-80 activated ZnS nanocolloids and explained in terms of time-dependent density functional theory. The experimental evidences were demonstrated for both undoped and Cu, Mn-doped colloidal phases.

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 1997Abstract The formation and stability of single water-in-oil-in-water (W 1 /O/W 2 ) and oil-in-water-in-oil (O 1 /W/O 2 ) globules were studied inside microcapillaries using video microscopy. Varying parameters included pH, salinity, as well as concentration of Tween 80 and Span 80 surfactants used to stabilize the globules were studied.

Dynamic and Rheological Properties of Span 80 at Liquid–Liquid Interfaces
Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2014The adsorption characteristics of Span 80 at liquid/liquid interfaces were investigated. The equilibrium interfacial tension values were successfully fitted with a Langmuir isotherm resulting in the determination of a mean molecular area from 25 to 35 A2/mol.

Water-cyclohexane-“Span 80”-“Tween 80” systems: Solution properties and water/oil emulsion formation
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1987The solution properties of sorbitan monooleate (Span 80) and ethoxylated sorbitan monooleate (Tween 80) in cyclohexane are discussed. It is shown that aggregates of nominal “radius” ∼65 nm are formed in the former case at concentrations up to ∼0.5 mole dm−3. The aggregation behavior is very sensitive to the presence of water.
