Overstrength of RC Medium Length Span Bridges
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2022Overstrength factors in bridges reported in various studies show great diversity that depends on the type of bridges selected and the set of seismic records used in the analyses. Particularly in Mexico, there are no previous studies that evaluate the bridges’ overstrength.

Holding Length: Effect on Digital Fibrograph Span Length
Textile Research Journal, 1990Fibers scanned for length by most instruments must be held in position for the scan. The holding length has been determined mathematically as being of the order of 4.06 mm ( 0.16 in.). Since the start of scan begins at 3.81 mm (0.15 in.) from the holding edge, the average start of scan actually begins at a length of 7.87 mm (0.31 in.).

Spanning lengths of percolation clusters
Journal of Statistical Physics, 1978The spanning length of a percolation cluster is defined as the difference between the maximum and minimum coordinates of the cluster with respect to some chosen direction. It is statistically related to the number size of the cluster by an exponent that differs from the iriverse dimension that would characterize a compact cluster.

On random minimum length spanning trees
Combinatorica, 1989We extend and strengthen the result that, in the complete graphKn with independent random edge-lengths uniformly distributed on [0, 1], the expected length of the minimum spanning tree tends toζ(3) asn→∞. In particular, ifKn is replaced by the complete bipartite graphKn, n then there is a corresponding limit of 2ζ (3).

Random Minimum Length Spanning Trees in Regular Graphs
COMBINATORICA, 1998For random graphs with edge lengths that are independently and uniformly distributed on the unit interval, the expected minimum length of a spanning forest is investigated. In particular, the expected minimum length of a spanning tree is given asymptotically for regular connected graphs.

Span-Length Distributions of Star-Branched Polymers
Macromolecular Theory and Simulations, 2002Many relations between the physical, rheological or mechanical properties of linear polymers and their molar mass are well known. For disperse polymers, parameters that express these relations are typically related to (a combination of) the moments of the molar-mass distribution.

MODE LOCALIZATION IN SIMPLY SUPPORTED TWO-SPAN BEAMS OF ARBITRARY SPAN LENGTHS
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1998The present study is concerned with the occurrence and the vari&tion of the mode localization in both periodic beams and non periodic ones.
