High‐low refractive index stacks as antireflection coatings on triple‐junction solar cells

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 31, Issue 1, Page 62-70, January 2023., 2023
We have implemented a new antireflection coating design philosophy, dubbed High‐Low Refractive Index Stacks, on GaInP/InGaAs/Ge solar cells. TEM images confirm that such new antireflection coatings can be manufactured with high accuracy using the same e‐beam PVD equipment used for double‐layer antireflection coatings.
