Cryopreservation of yellowfin seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) spermatozoa (Teleost, Perciformes, Sparidae)

Theriogenology, 1994
The effects of both osmolality and cation in the initiation of sperm motility were examined in yellowfin seabream, Acanthopagrus latus. Various factors involved in the cryopreservation of yellowfin seabream spermatozoa on motility are discussed. Extender containing only glucose proved to be a suitable medium for freezing yellowfin seabream spermatozoa ...

Malate dehydrogenase isozymes in fifteen sparidae species (perciformes, teleostei)

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1991
Abstract 1. 1. MDH isozymes were analyzed in seven different tissues in 15 Sparidae species using electrophoresis and isoelectric focusing. 2. 2. Species-specific patterns of enzymatic activity were identified with the sole exception of Sparus aurata and S. pagrus which showed the same pattern, thus indicating their close ties. 3.
