Quantitative evaluation of the breakdown process of spark discharge for spark-ignition engines

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2019
For spark-ignition (SI) engines, downsizing, exhaust gas recirculation and lean burn are promising methods for meeting more stringent emission regulations and lower fuel consumption requirements.

New Aspects on Spark Ignition

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1977
Fundamental investigations have been made on processes in common spark plugs useful for ignition of fuel-air mixtures. Development of spark discharge from the early beginnings as well as the initiation of chemical reaction have been studied experimentally by using very high frequency measuring technique, radiation measurements, spectroscopic methods ...

Spark Ignition of Flowing Gases

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1956
Spark ignition of flowing gases is investigated experimentally at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Under laminar condition the inflammability of flowing gases increases with gas velocity. This is due to the tendency of initial flames to escape from the quenching effect of electrodes under the influence of gas flow.

Igniting the Spark in Every Person

2018
In this chapter, von Devivere further elicits inspiring examples on how to integrate the three levels of individual, organizational, and societal challenges and change for creating new ways of implementing meaningful work. The author marks outstanding examples of organizational change − presencing, givers and takers, and reinventing organizations – all
