Microwave Surveillance based on Ghost Imaging and Distributed Antennas

open access: yes, 2015
In this letter, we proposed a ghost imaging (GI) and distributed antennas based microwave surveillance scheme. By analyzing its imaging resolution and sampling requirement, the potential of employing microwave GI to achieve high-quality surveillance ...

Experimental Synthetic Aperture Radar with Dynamic Metasurfaces

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the use of a dynamic metasurface as the transmitting antenna for a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging system. The dynamic metasurface consists of a one-dimensional microstrip waveguide with complementary electric resonator (cELC ...

Compressed sensing for radio interferometric imaging: review and future direction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Radio interferometry is a powerful technique for astronomical imaging. The theory of Compressed Sensing (CS) has been applied recently to the ill-posed inverse problem of recovering images from the measurements taken by radio interferometric telescopes ...

SAR Observation Error Estimation Based on Maximum Relative Projection Matching

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
The existing sparse imaging observation error estimation methods are to usually estimate the error of each observation position by substituting the error parameters into the iterative reconstruction process, which has a huge calculation cost.

Measured equation of invariance: a new concept in field computations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Numerical computations of frequency domain field problems or elliptical partial differential equations may be based on differential equations or integral equations. The new concept of field computation presented in this paper is based on the postulate of

Nonlinear Projected Sparse Optimization Approach Based on Adam Algorithm for Microwave Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes2020 Advances in Science and Engineering Technology International Conferences (ASET), 2020
A microwave imaging algorithm based on contrast-field equations is developed for sparse domains. The proposed algorithm is inspired by machine learning optimization schemes. More specifically it is based on Adam approach which is a first-order gradient optimization algorithm that has been studied intensively in optimizing artificial neural networks. To

Tuning the Testicular Microenvironment for Enhancing Human Sertoli Cells Maturation and Functionality In Vitro

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An in vitro testicular model is developed by generating connective tissue equivalents from human dermal fibroblast‐derived microtissues and coupling them with human Sertoli cells or human Sertoli cell spheroids. This engineered microenvironment supports Sertoli cell maturation and functionality, providing a promising platform for studying human ...

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.
