Synthetic Engineering of Manganese Oxide–Carbon Nanocomposites for Maximized Metal Utilization in Supercapacitors

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 2, March 2026.
A one‐pot metal–ammonia synthesis enables uniform Mn2O3 nanoparticle deposition on activated carbon, yielding composites with excellent electrochemical performance in supercapacitors. The method maximizes manganese utilization, eliminates toxic solvents, and achieves 34% of the theoretical maximum capacitance, significantly outperforming existing Mn–C ...

Quantifying river morphological changes using multi‐satellite observations and in situ measurements

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study integrates optical, radar and altimetry satellite data with river gauge measurements to estimate periodically submerged riverbed topography and quantify morphological change. By linking how often water covers the riverbed with water‐level variations, erosion and deposition patterns are mapped across a reach of Jamuna River.

BCARS Simulated Phantom Dataset for Evaluation of Processing Pipelines

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 3, Page 530-543, March 2026.
A tissue phantom, containing fingerprint Raman spectra at each pixel, is developed to evaluate Raman signal processing pipelines. The phantom is created from a BCARS image of a murine hepatic tissue. ABSTRACT Broadband coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (BCARS) microscopy is a powerful label‐free biological imaging technique, but the raw signal ...

Deep learning‐based upsampling of 2D detector array measurements for patient plan verification in radiotherapy

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Background Detector arrays are commonly used for treatment plan verifications in intensity modulated radiation therapy. However, the intrinsic resolution of detector arrays is limited by the physical dimensions of each single detector and the detector‐to‐detector distance.

And then there were none: decrease of origination and the decline of Conulariida

open access: yesPapers in Palaeontology, Volume 12, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Although the evolutionary history of conulariids has been widely studied, previous works have focused mostly on limited time intervals. In this paper, we examine the diversity dynamics of the group throughout its entire history, using various mathematical approaches.

Geochemical Analysis of Diachronous V‐Shaped Ridges and Troughs That Flank the Reykjanes Ridge South of Iceland

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract It is recognized that mantle plumes play a direct role in generating regional uplift and producing immense volumes of basaltic magmatism, both of which can influence paleoclimate. The Icelandic Plume, beneath the North Atlantic Ocean, is of particular importance due to its size and position at a significant paleoceanographic gateway.
