SAR imaging using the sparse fourier transform

2016 24th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2016
In wide-bandwidth high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR), high sampling rates generate big demands for computations and storage. This paper exploits the sparsity of the electromagnetic reflectivity of far-field targets in the range-azimuth domain to propose a sparse Fourier transform (SFT) based ranged Doppler (RD) algorithm for SAR imaging ...

SAR image despeckling based on sparse representation

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
Based on sparse representation, a new novel SAR image despeckling algorithm (SR) associate with the feature of SAR image is presented. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has capabilities of denoising and preserving edge and texture features.

Performance analysis of sparse 3D SAR imaging

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
This paper addresses the question of scattering center detection and estimation performance in synthetic aperture radar. Specifically, we consider sparse 3D radar apertures, in which the radar collects both azimuth and elevation diverse data of a scene, but collects only a sparse subset of the traditional filled aperture.

Airborne FMCW SAR Sparse Imaging: Initial Results

2018 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), 2018
Using continuous-wave technology to replace conventional pulse mode, frequency-modulation continuous-wave (FMCW) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) reduces the sensor peak transmission power, and hence minimizes the weight and cost of system, which makes it is very suitably for the short-range airborne SAR imaging.

Real-Time Data Processing in Sparse SAR Imaging

2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT), 2019
Sarsity-driven synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging has already shown the superiority in terms of imaging performance improvement and image recovery from down-sampled data. However, conventional observation matrix based approach generally requires inhibitive memory space for the target recovery especially for the large-scale scenes.

Sparse non-ambiguous imaging of SAR moving targets

2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
Recently, sparse radar imaging has drawn more and more attentions, which has the superiority of feature enhancement, super-resolution and so on. In this paper, we focus on sparse moving target imaging (MTIm) using a SAR sensor from sparse aperture (SA) data.

Classifications of SAR Images Using Sparse Coding

2018
In this paper a novel Sparse Coding for Classification of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Images is proposed. Features utilized in SC (Sparse Coding) are extracted from the multisize patches around each pixel to precisely describe the complex terrains. In these one or two level thresholds techniques are introduced in the sparse coding for classifier of ...

A Novel Sparse Method for Despeckling SAR Images

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2012
This paper presents an algorithm for speckle reduction of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images within a framework of multiscale curvelet analysis. First, we introduce a novel method to investigate the presence of 2-D heteroscedasticity based on Lagrange multiplier procedure.
