Wavenumber Domain Algorithm-Based FMCW SAR Sparse Imaging

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2019
Frequency-modulation continuous-wave (FMCW) synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) can minimize the peak transmission power of sensors and reduce the size and weight of the systems. Wavenumber domain algorithm (WDA) is an accurate focusing method for SAR imaging. By using the exact signal form to compensate the phase error, WDA can achieve exact scene recovery

Sparse Reconstruction for High-Resolution Inverse SAR Imaging

Doctoral Symposium on Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, 2023
Unknown motion significantly impacts the image quality of inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images. An auto-focus image reconstruction algorithm plays a key role in reconstructing ISAR images using raw data. In this context, sparse signal recovery has gained attention.

Bayesian sparse representation model for SAR image classification

Journal of Applied Remote Sensing, 2019
We present a Bayesian sparse representation (BSR) model for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image classification. It involves the design of the sub-categorization scheme for the samples, the formulation of the BSR model, and the implementation of the classification decision.

Two-Step Sparse Decomposition for SAR Image Despeckling

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2017
In this letter, we propose a new despeckling method based on two-step sparse decomposition. First, the grouping by block matching method identifies similar image patches and stacks them into a group, so that the group of similar patches are mostly homogeneous, which is suitable for the followed sparse decomposition method.

Non-local sparse models for SAR image despeckling

2012 International Conference on Computer Vision in Remote Sensing, 2012
This paper propose a non-local sparse model for SAR image despeckling. Sparse coding models and non-local means have been both proven very effective in natural image restoration tasks. While self-similarities exist widely in SAR images, which encourages combining these two approaches together for SAR image despeckling tasks.

A scalable sphere-constrained magnitude-sparse SAR imaging

Journal of Nonlinear and Variational Analysis
Summary: The classical synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging techniques based on matched filters are limited by data bandwidth, resulting in limited imaging performance with side lobes and speckles present. To address the high-resolution SAR imaging problem, sparse reconstruction has been extensively investigated.

Sparse Representation Based SAR Imaging Using Combined Dictionary

2018
Sparse representation (SR)-based SAR imaging has shown its superior capability in high-resolution image formation. For SR-based SAR imaging task, a key challenge is how to choose a proper dictionary that can effectively represent the magnitude of the complex-valued scattering field.
