A Temporal Spatial Access Method

2010 Sixth International Conference on Signal-Image Technology and Internet Based Systems, 2010
In this paper, we present a novel temporal spatial access method that is based on the PM Quad tree. It is intended for the efficient management of multi-version maps, where each version is a result of some kinds of modifications at a given point of time.

SFDMA - spatial focus division multiple access

IEE Colloquium on Capacity and Range Enhancement Techniques for the Third Generation Mobile Communications and Beyond, 2000
The concept of spatial focus division multiple access (SFDMA) is presented. SFDMA intends to increase capacity by exploiting diversity as well as reducing interference. Adaptive antennas are employed to focus the power of more than one base station simultaneously towards the mobile station's position.

Fine-Grained Spatial Access Control in Spatial Database

2012
Current database with numerous users requires fine grained access control. It is also needed in spatial database systems that keep both spatial attribute and non-spatial attribute. Spatial attribute fine-grained access control is discussed in this paper. First the two spatial authorization patterns are analyzed with distinguish difference.

Spatial Access Methods (SAMS)

1998
In the previous section we examined the so-called ‘secondary key’ access methods, which handle queries on keys that may have duplicates (eg., ‘salary’, or ‘age’, in an EMPLOYEE file). As mentioned, records with k numerical attributes can be envisioned as k-dimensional points.

Efficient Access to Spatial Data

1997
Manipulation of spatial data frequently involves spatial operators such as intersection, containment, and adjacency. These operators are computationally much more expensive than relational operators such as selection and join [Ooi et al., 1997]. Thus it is extremely important to design efficient access methods for spatial databases.

Practical spatial database access methods

[Proceedings] 1991 Symposium on Applied Computing, 2002
Although many solutions to the problem of representing spatial data have been proposed, most are not practical. They cannot be guaranteed to perform well with large and arbitrarily distributed data collections. They may not be easily integrated with concurrency and recovery software already written for database systems. However, two proposed structures

Spatial Access to Health Services

2012
Recent years have seen a renewed interest in a more integrated planning approach for service provision. Previously, government investment to improve access to public services has been prioritised either on the basis of the spatial distribution of services or on the availability of transport services.

Spatial Capacity of Multiple-Access Wireless Networks

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2006
We study the capacity of multiple-access networks both on uplink and downlink. In our model each user requires a given signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and the capacity region is obtained as a solution of a power allocation problem. In this paper, we emphasize the differences between uplink and downlink.
