Structural Properties of Yukawa One‐Component Plasmas Revisited

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACTYukawa one‐component plasmas are fully described in terms of the Coulomb coupling parameter Γ$$ \Gamma $$ and the screening parameter κ$$ \kappa $$. One of their remarkable properties is the existence of lines of constant effective coupling, Γeff(Γ,κ)$$ {\Gamma}_{\mathrm{eff}}\left(\Gamma, \kappa \right) $$, along which their short‐range ...

Regional wages and market potential in the enlarged EU: An empirical investigation [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper empirically analyses the link between market potential and regional wages in the enlarged EU. We extend previous studies of EU regions in several ways.

Random finite element analysis on ground subsidence caused by tunnel excavation in karst regions with spatial variable soil

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study investigates ground subsidence during tunnel excavation in karst areas, highlighting the combined effects of karst cave proximity, cave size, and soil spatial variability. Findings suggest that shorter cave distances and larger cave sizes increase subsidence variability, and a modified Peck formula is proposed for more accurate subsidence ...

An optimizing microseismic method for rock burst early warning based on mining production process

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A classification early warning method of rock burst based on hourly microseismic data is proposed, which can be combined with the on‐site production process to provide more timely warning. Abstract Microseismic (MS) events have been reported in nearly every coal mining country, which could well lead to rock burst in underground coal mines.

Regional Unemployment Forecasting Using Structural Component Models With Spatial Autocorrelation [PDF]

open access: yes
Labour-market policies are increasingly being decided on a regional level. This implies that institutions have an increased need for regional forecasts as a guideline for their decision-making process.
