BRUDEX Database: Binaural Room Impulse Responses with Uniformly Distributed External Microphones [PDF]
There is an emerging need for comparable data for multi-microphone processing, particularly in acoustic sensor networks. However, commonly available databases are often limited in the spatial diversity of the microphones or only allow for particular signal processing tasks.

The human protein atlas: A spatial map of the human proteome
The correct spatial distribution of proteins is vital for their function and often mis‐localization or ectopic expression leads to diseases. For more than a decade, the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) has constituted a valuable tool for researchers studying ...

Reliable Diversity-Based Spatial Crowdsourcing by Moving Workers
With the rapid development of mobile devices and the crowdsourcig platforms, the spatial crowdsourcing has attracted much attention from the database community, specifically, spatial crowdsourcing refers to sending a location-based request to workers ...

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Exploration of heterogeneity and recurrence signatures in hepatocellular carcinoma
This study leveraged public datasets and integrative bioinformatic analysis to dissect malignant cell heterogeneity between relapsed and primary HCC, focusing on intercellular communication, differentiation status, metabolic activity, and transcriptomic profiles.

This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Aggregate Analytic Window Query over Spatial Data [PDF]
Analytic window query is a commonly used query in the relational databases. It answers the aggregations of data over a sliding window. For example, to get the average prices of a stock for each day. However, it is not supported in the spatial databases. Because the spatial data are not in a one-dimension space, there is no straightforward way to extend
