Spatial distribution of muscle fibers

The Anatomical Record, 1995
AbstractThe analysis of Gates and Betz (1993 Anat. Rec., 236:381–389) of the spatial distribution of two different populations of muscle fibers in the lumbrical muscle of the rat is discussed. The conclusion that muscle fibers belonging to a single motor unit are distributd at random in most muscles appears to need reconsideration.

SPATIAL OLIGOPOLIES WITH COOPERATIVE DISTRIBUTION

International Game Theory Review, 2009
The main objects here are Nash equilibria in spatial Cournot oligopolies when profits depend on coordinated distribution. Production is non-cooperative, but the subsequent transportation must be performed jointly to minimize costs. Cournot-Nash equilibria for this two-stage game with partial coalitional strategies are determined by means of a ...

The spatial distribution of attention

Current Opinion in Psychology, 2019
Understanding how spatial attention is distributed over space (i.e. the attentional window) is highly important for theoretical, methodological, as well as applied reasons. One fundamental challenge to the study of the attentional window is that most of our current knowledge is based on measuring distractors interference, or relying in some other way ...

Distributed Spatial Reasoning

2009
Reasoning about perceived context information is fundamental for autonomous systems to draw conclusions about their spatial contexts and adapt to changing situations at runtime. According to our focus on qualitative spatial relations, this chapter builds on the qualitative abstractions presented in Chapter 3 and is concerned with inferring new from ...

Spatial distribution of dispersing animals

Journal of Mathematical Biology, 1980
A mathematical model for the dispersal of an animal population is presented for a system in which animals are initially released in the central region of a uniform field and migrate randomly, exerting mutually repulsive influences (population pressure) until they eventually become sedentary.

Distributed spatial AI

This thesis explores Distributed Spatial AI -- how devices can coordinate to perform inference in a decentralised manner to enhance their Spatial AI abilities beyond each device's perceptual capabilities while achieving low-power and scalability.
