Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Spatial patterns of immigration and property crime in vancouver: A spatial point pattern test
We empirically evaluate the distribution of spatial patterns at the census tract (CT) level for various immigration and property crime measures in Vancouver, British Columbia, 2003 and 2016, using a spatial point pattern test that identifies significant ...

Morphological Characterization of Spatial Patterns [PDF]
Geometrical patterns are encountered in many different fields of science and technology, including porous media, biology, polymer chemistry, metallography, geology and astronomy. 1),2) We characterize these patterns in terms of shape (geometry) and connectivity (topology) by means of morphological image analysis (MIA).

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Predatory activity and spatial pattern: the response of generalist carabids to their aphid prey
1. The spatial distribution of cereal aphids infesting a field of winter wheat during the population establishment, development and decline phases were studied using a field-scale grid of sampling locations. 2.

Spatial pattern formation in the lung [PDF]
Clustered ventilation defects are a hallmark of asthma, typically seen via imaging studies during asthma attacks. The mechanisms underlying the formation of these clusters is of great interest in understanding asthma. Because the clusters vary from event to event, many researchers believe they occur due to dynamic, rather than structural, causes.
