New multifactor spatial prediction method based on Bayesian maximum entropy

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2013
The spatial distributions of soil properties (e.g., organic matter and heavy metal content) are vital to soil quality evaluation and regional environment assessment.

Spatial predictions of tree density and tree height across Mexico forests using ensemble learning and forest inventory data

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2023
The National Forestry Commission of Mexico continuously monitors forest structure within the country's continental territory by the implementation of the National Forest and Soils Inventory (INFyS).

Spatial Representation of Predictive Motor Learning [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Neurophysiology, 2003
A key feature of skilled motor behavior is the ability of the CNS to predict the consequences of its actions. Such prediction occurs when one hand pulls on an object held in the other hand; the restraining hand generates an anticipatory increase in grip force, thereby preventing the object from slipping.

DDP-GCN: Multi-Graph Convolutional Network for Spatiotemporal Traffic Forecasting

open access: yes, 2020
Traffic speed forecasting is one of the core problems in Intelligent Transportation Systems. For a more accurate prediction, recent studies started using not only the temporal speed patterns but also the spatial information on the road network through ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

R-vine Models for Spatial Time Series with an Application to Daily Mean Temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We introduce an extension of R-vine copula models for the purpose of spatial dependency modeling and model based prediction at unobserved locations.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Multiscale nest‐site selection of ducks in the western boreal forest of Alberta

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2022
There is limited data regarding the nesting ecology of boreal ducks and their response to industrial development, despite this region being an important North American breeding area.

Future Frame Prediction for Anomaly Detection -- A New Baseline

open access: yes, 2018
Anomaly detection in videos refers to the identification of events that do not conform to expected behavior. However, almost all existing methods tackle the problem by minimizing the reconstruction errors of training data, which cannot guarantee a larger
