Recognition of threaded objects by spatial spectrum analysis
Applied Optics, 1991An optical processing system for the recognition and sorting of machine screws is presented. A theoretical analysis of the diffraction problem is detailed which provides a basis for selecting a set of features used in the sorting algorithm. These features are used to discriminate between screws based on their diameter and thread pitch.

Spatial reuse in spectrum sharing: A Matrix Spatial Congestion Games approach
2012 1st IEEE International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC), 2012Congestion games, with the nice property that simple dynamics are guaranteed to converge to Nash equilibrium, have been widely used as models for many resource sharing scenarios. However, an obvious limitation of the congestion games is that they fail to capture a key feature of wireless networks: spatial reuse. That is, users separated far away enough

Spatial filtering of signals with spectrum overlapping
Issues of radio electronics, 2019The paper considers the spatial filtering methods of signals with spectrum overlapping under conditions of a priori uncertainty of the directions of arrival from radio sources. The estimates of the directions of signals arrival obtained by ESPRIT or MUSIC are used in order to build a spatial filter.

Spatial-frequency spectrum of patterns changes the visibility of spatial-phase differences
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1985This study showed that spatial-frequency components over a 4-octave range affected the visibility of spatial-phase differences. Contrast thresholds were measured for discrimination between two (+45- and -45-deg) spatial phases of a sinusoidal test grating added to a background grating.

The Spatial Spectrum of Tangential Skin Displacement
2013The tactual scanning of five naturalistic textures was recorded with an apparatus capable of measuring the tangential interaction force with a high degree of temporal and spatial resolution. The resulting signal showed that the transformation from the geometry of a surface to the force of traction, and hence to the skin deformation experienced by a ...
