Constraints in spatial structures

Proceedings of the sixteenth ACM conference on Hypertext and hypermedia, 2005
People have become used to paper as an information carrier over thousands of years. Paper is usually easy to handle and has been adopted as a metaphor for information structures in computer applications. This article gives a brief overview of our analysis on real world bindings.

Spatial Problem Solving in Spatial Structures

2017
The ability to solve spatial tasks is crucial for everyday life and therefore of great importance for cognitive agents. In artificial intelligence (AI) we model this ability by representing spatial configurations and spatial tasks in the form of knowledge about space and time.

Spatial structure of a squeezed vacuum

Physical Review Letters, 1993
We analyze the quantum properties of the signal near field emitted by a degenerate parametric oscillator below threshold, including diffraction and its effects on the threshold for signal generation. The field is probed by a local oscillator field of arbitrary spatial configuration.

Modelling Spatial Structures

2015
Data is spatial if it contains references to space. We can easily detect explicit references, for example coordinates, but we cannot detect whether data implicitly contains references to space, and whether it has properties of spatial data, if additional semantic information is missing.

On the Spatial Structure of Administration

Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space, 2007
It is argued that the spatial structure of administration is influenced in part by the requirements of administrative logic and in part by the fact that an administrative structure has to exist within a broader and generally more complex functional structure. The main criteria for organising the spatial structure of administration under such conditions

Spatially Oscillating Structures

2010
This chapter illustrates applications of nonsmooth argument substitutions to modeling spatially oscillating structures such as one-dimensional elastic rods with periodic discrete inclusions, and two- or three-dimensional acoustic media with periodic nonsmooth boundary sources of waves.
