DDAM-Net: A Difference-Directed Multi-Scale Attention Mechanism Network for Cultivated Land Change Detection

open access: yesSensors
Declining cultivated land poses a serious threat to food security. However, existing Change Detection (CD) methods are insufficient for overcoming intra-class differences in cropland, and the accumulation of irrelevant features and loss of key features ...

Locally weighted spatio-temporal minimum contrast for Log-Gaussian Cox Processes

open access: yes, 2022
We propose a local version of the spatio-temporal log-Gaussian Cox processes (LGCPs) employing the Local Indicators of Spatio-Temporal Association (LISTA) functions into the minimum contrast procedure to obtain space as well as time-varying parameters.

Spatio-Temporal Domains: An Overview [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider the possibility of defining a general mathematical framework for the homogeneous modeling and analysis of heterogeneous spatio-temporal computations as they occur more and more in modern computerized systems of systems. It appears that certain fibrations of posets into posets, called here spatio-temporal domains, eventually provide a fully ...

Uncovering renewable energy policy impact channels on land values, the local farm structure, and farmland heterogeneity

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Germany's Renewable Energy Sources Act (REA), enacted in 2000 and subsequently amended, subsidized national renewable energy production with fixed feed‐in tariffs for renewable energy sources (RE) from wind, solar, and biogas. Empirical studies suggest that the policy was creating windfall effects for landowners and attribute farmland use ...
