Analog Classification of Human Hand Gestures Exploiting Dendritic Integration With an Organic Artificial Soma

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An organic neuromorphic architecture for the classification of human motor behavior is presented and validated. It performs somatic integration by linearly combining the activity from three muscles. An investigation of synaptic weights is presented and discussed in relationship with the classification performance.

Spatial Control of Light‐Responsive Proteins and Optogenetics Within Hydrogels via Volumetric Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of

A LiDAR-intensity SLAM and loop closure detection method using an intensity cylindrical-projection shape context descriptor

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2023
LiDAR Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is able to map unknown scene while online estimating the LiDAR’s pose. Traditional LiDAR SLAM frameworks mainly rely on geometric features in the environments, but ignore LiDAR intensity information ...

Spatio-temporal ToF data enhancement by fusion [PDF]

open access: yes2012 19th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2012
We propose an extension of our previous work on spatial domain Time-of-Flight (ToF) data enhancement to the temporal domain. Our goal is to generate enhanced depth maps at the same frame rate of the 2-D camera that, coupled with a ToF camera, constitutes a hybrid ToF multi-camera rig.
