The Role of Labour Market Institutions in Shaping Euro Area Monetary Policy Transmission

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Volume 88, Issue 5, Page 919-936, October 2026.
ABSTRACT We examine how labour market institutions shape monetary policy transmission in euro area countries. A theoretical model suggests that higher union density flattens the Phillips curve, amplifying output responses while dampening the inflation effects of monetary shocks. This is empirically confirmed using an interacted panel VAR.

Large‐Eddy Simulation of the Spray‐Laden Hurricane Boundary Layer: II. Spray Impacts on Air‐Sea Fluxes

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract The effects of spray on air‐sea fluxes in high‐wind environments have been studied for decades, and several models have been developed and implemented. Owing to the difficulties in making direct measurements in these conditions, however, many process‐level details of spray‐turbulence interaction remain unknown, and certain assumptions must ...

Re‐Evaluating Inherited SIF Anomaly Detection Methods for the 2024 Amazon Drought: A 3D Convolutional Autoencoder Approach

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract In the past decade, the Amazon has experienced multiple severe droughts, raising critical questions about how vegetation stress can be detected using remote sensing indicators such as Solar‐Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence (SIF). In this study, we compare two anomaly detection approaches applied to TROPOSIF data. First a classical pixel wise z‐

Event‐Level Attribution of Wildfire Ignition Cause: A Machine‐Learning Approach

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract Wildfire ignition causes, namely human or lightning, largely determine fire behavior and impacts, but are sparsely reported worldwide. Event‐level fire causes have been inferred regionally using high‐accuracy lightning observations, but global generalization remains limited.
