CSF-Net: Cross-Modal Spatiotemporal Fusion Network for Pulmonary Nodule Malignancy Predicting [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Pulmonary nodules are an early sign of lung cancer, and detecting them early is vital for improving patient survival rates. Most current methods use only single Computed Tomography (CT) images to assess nodule malignancy. However, doctors typically make a comprehensive assessment in clinical practice by integrating follow-up CT scans with clinical data.

Nudix Hydrolase 13 Impairs the Initiation of Colorectal Cancer by Inhibiting PKM1 ADP‐Ribosylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
This study identified NUDT13 as a roadblock in the progression from colorectal adenoma to CRC, and revealed that NUDT13 stabilizes PKM1 protein by reducing the PARylation that is catalyzed by PARP1, thereby reprogramming the metabolic propensity of CRC cells.

A Mitochondria‐Targeted Biomimetic Nanomedicine Capable of Reversing Drug Resistance in Colorectal Cancer Through Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
Chemoresistance and metastasis are the main obstacles to the clinical success of anticancer treatment and are responsible for most cancer deaths in CRC. This study develops a sequentially targeted and mitochondrion‐dysfunctional nanodrug (OXA@Exo‐RD) that simultaneously enhances drug concentration and potency in the targeted organelle to overcome ...

Condensate Halos in Condensation Frosting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 14, April 10, 2025.
The freezing of supercooled water drops on cold solid surfaces is an interfacial phase‐change phenomenon accompanied by complex heat and mass transfer yet remains partly understood. By combining optical and thermal imaging techniques, the study scrutinizes the formation, growth, and fading of condensate halos consisting of massive small droplets around

DARNet: Dual Attention Refinement Network with Spatiotemporal Construction for Auditory Attention Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
At a cocktail party, humans exhibit an impressive ability to direct their attention. The auditory attention detection (AAD) approach seeks to identify the attended speaker by analyzing brain signals, such as EEG signals. However, current AAD algorithms overlook the spatial distribution information within EEG signals and lack the ability to capture long-

4D-ACFNet: A 4D Attention Mechanism-Based Prognostic Framework for Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastasis Integrating Multimodal Spatiotemporal Features [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Postoperative prognostic prediction for colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) remains challenging due to tumor heterogeneity, dynamic evolution of the hepatic microenvironment, and insufficient multimodal data fusion. To address these issues, we propose 4D-ACFNet, the first framework that synergistically integrates lightweight spatiotemporal ...

The GhWL1‐GhH1‐GhGA2OX1 Transcriptional Module Regulates Cotton Leaf Morphology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified GhWL1 as a key gene involved in regulating leaf development through analysis of a T‐DNA insertion mutant. The GhWL1‐GhH1 complex is shown to positively regulate GhGA2OX1 by directly binding to its promoter, thereby establishing the GhWL1‐GhH1‐GhGA2OX1 module as a critical pathway in leaf development.

Immune and Angiogenic Profiling of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Functions in a Subcutaneous Microenvironment for Allogeneic Islet Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
With emphasis on a diabetic state, this study highlights the role of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in enhancing vascularization and modulating immune responses within a subcutaneous platform for cell transplantation for type 1 diabetes (T1D). Comprehensive profiling of MSC‐induced angiogenic and immune responses, provides insight into the role of MSCs ...

Simultaneous Detection of Neural Activity and Temperature in Photothermal Neural Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photothermal neuromodulation technology faces limitations in understanding its mechanisms and effects on cellular behavior due to the difficulty of directly measuring temperature changes at the cell interface during optical stimulation of neurons. To overcome this challenge, ultrasensitive, transparent temperature sensors integrated with low‐noise ...
