Multi-megawatt, self-seeded Mamyshev oscillator
We demonstrate a fiber oscillator that achieves 3 MW peak power, is easily started and is environmentally stable. The Mamyshev oscillator delivers 190-nJ pulses that can be compressed externally to 35 fs duration.

Dynamics of Localized Structures in Systems with Broken Parity Symmetry
A great variety of nonlinear dissipative systems are known to host structures having a correlation range much shorter than the size of the system. The dynamics of these Localized Structures (LSs) have been investigated so far in situations featuring ...

Streamwise forced oscillations of circular and square cylinders [PDF]
The modification of a cylinder wake by streamwise oscillation of the cylinder at the vortex shedding frequency of the unperturbed cylinder is reported. Recent numerical simulations [J. S. Leontini, D. Lo Jacono, and M. C.

An experimental route to spatiotemporal chaos in an extended 1D oscillators array [PDF]
We report experimental evidence of the route to spatiotemporal chaos in a large 1D-array of hotspots in a thermoconvective system. Increasing the driving force, a stationary cellular pattern becomes unstable towards a mixed pattern of irregular clusters ...

Multiple-soliton in spatiotemporal mode-locked multimode fiber lasers
Experimental observations of spatiotemporal mode-locked multiple-soliton, including harmonic mode locking and multiple pulses, in multimode fiber (MMF) lasers are reported. Numerical simulations are conducted to investigate the nonlinear dynamics of multi-pulsing.

ABSTRACT Magnetogenetic deep brain stimulation (MG‐DBS) represents a wireless neuromodulation that has demonstrated long‐lasting behavioral benefits in Parkinson's disease models. However, the circuit‐level mechanisms underlying these therapeutic effects have remained uncharacterized due to limitations of conventional neural interfaces.
