A Conceptual Modeling Language for Spatiotemporal Applications
This paper presents a conceptual modeling language for spatiotemporal applications that offers built-in support for capturing geo-referenced, time-varying information. More specifically, the well-known object-oriented Unified Modeling Language (UML) is

Micro‐topographical cues applied through temporally controlled microscale confinement improve the reproducibility, spatial organization, and neurosensory‐associated features of pluripotent stem cell‐derived inner ear organoids. Integration with a vascularized organoid platform further enables controlled investigation of vascular‐epithelial interactions

Advancing spatiotemporal individual-level modeling of infectious disease transmission dynamics [PDF]
This thesis advances spatiotemporal modeling of infectious disease transmission dynamics by addressing key limitations of the Geographically Dependent Individual-Level Model (GD-ILM) framework. These limitations include reinfection, seasonal transmission,

Operator Learning with Branch–Trunk Factorization for Macroscopic Short-Term Speed Forecasting
Logistics operations demand real-time visibility and rapid response, yet minute-level traffic speed forecasting remains challenging due to heterogeneous data sources and frequent distribution shifts. This paper proposes a Deep Operator Network (DeepONet)-

Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of

A Physics-Constrained Method for the Precise Spatiotemporal Prediction of Rock-Damage Evolution
Accurately predicting the spatiotemporal evolution of rock-damage zones is vital for underground engineering safety. Using three-dimensional data obtained from uniaxial compression–acoustic emission tests, this study addresses the key limitations of ...

Soft Yet Tough Tanglemers Through Rapid Photopolymerization for DLP 3D Printing
Soft yet tough tanglemers are produced through low‐initiator free radical photopolymerization and translated to DLP 3D printing. Systematic control over light intensity, initiator loading, and crosslink density reveals processing windows that balance printability, elasticity, toughness, and feature fidelity. ABSTRACT Additive manufacturing of compliant

Ion Concentration and Voltage Imaging With Fluorescent Nanodiamonds
We demonstrate reversible switching between the fluorescent NV0 and the dark NV+ state, in sub‐30 nm FNDs via surface oxidation and hydrogenation, respectively. In an electrochemical cell, we show that the fluorescence from hydrogenated particles enables all‐optical imaging of voltages and ion concentrations at the micrometer scale.
