Programmable Pneumatic Actuator System for a Bioinspired Artificial Colon
A modular soft robotic colon simulator driven by programmable pneumatic actuation is developed to mimic physiological and pathological‐like motility patterns of the large intestine. Finite element–guided design and distributed control enable anatomically realistic deformation for peristalsis, segmentation, and mass movements, supporting capsule ...

Scientific Machine Learning for Spatiotemporal Dynamics: Modeling and Control
Spatiotemporal dynamics, often governed by partial differential equations (PDEs), underpin many physical processes critical to scientific discovery and engineering innovation. Traditionally, numerical solvers and linearization-based control methods have

Dense tactile streams from across the humanoid body converge on collide in a central wiring and data bottleneck. By relocating computation closer to and then into the skin itself, near‐ and in‐sensor architectures, together with neuromorphic computing, chart a path toward perception‐native electronic skin, in which the conversion of stimulus into ...

Bayesian multivariate spatiotemporal statistical modeling of bus and taxi ridership
Statistical modeling of ridership over both space and time provides valuable insights on transportation planning and policies. Existing spatiotemporal studies, however, predominantly focus on analyzing a single type rather than multiple types of ...

A multi‐point oxygen‐sensing ultra‐fine needle (MO‐UFN) is developed by conformally integrating a lithographically patterned flexible electrochemical sensor array onto a clinical acupuncture needle. The platform preserves an approximately 0.3 mm diameter while enabling spatially resolved oxygen profiling along the insertion pathway.
