Octupole deformation in radium isotopes with the spdf-IBM-1 [PDF]
We present a preliminary systematic study of the spectroscopic and collective properties of the 216–226Ra isotopic chain in the context of the spdf Interacting Boson Model (spdf-IBM-1). This model includes the octupole degrees of freedom, allowing us to study positive and negative parity states using the same Hamiltonian for all the phenomena studied ...

SPDF: A schedulable parametric data-flow MoC [PDF]
Dataflow programming models are suitable to express multi-core streaming applications. The design of high- quality embedded systems in that context requires static analysis to ensure the liveness and bounded memory of the application. However, many streaming applications have a dynamic behavior.

Measurement of population health outcomes is critical to understanding the health status of communities and thus enabling the development of appropriate health-care programmes for the communities. This task acquires the prediction of population health status to be fast and accurate yet scalable to different population sizes.

A Comparison of Affective Responses Between Time Efficient and Traditional Resistance Training. [PDF]
The aim of the study was to compare the acute effects of traditional resistance training and superset training on training duration, training volume and different perceptive measures. Twenty-nine resistance-trained participants (27 ± 7 years, 173 ± 9 cm,

Comparison of finger flexor resistance training, with and without blood flow restriction, on perceptional and physiological responses in advanced climbers. [PDF]
This study compared perceptional and physiological responses of finger flexor exercise performed with free flow and blood flow restriction (BFR). Thirteen male advanced climbers completed three sessions of finger flexor resistance exercise at (1) 40% of ...

E1 transitions in rare earth nuclei and the SPDF boson model
Electric-dipole (E1) transitions between low-lying states of well deformed rare-earth nuclei are investigated using an SPDF boson model. The model can treat both the high-lying Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) and the low-lying octupole vibrational bands. The p-boson is related to the GDR state while the f-boson is to the octupole vibration.

Geometry Preserving Sampling Method Based on Spectral Decomposition for Large-Scale Environments. [PDF]
In the context of 3D mapping, larger and larger point clouds are acquired with lidar sensors. Although pleasing to the eye, dense maps are not necessarily tailored for practical applications.
