Light‐Driven Quadrupedal Walking Biohybrid Robot With Antagonistic Muscle‐Rings and Inclined Joints
This work presents a light‐driven quadrupedal walking biohybrid robot powered by antagonistic muscle‐rings that achieve alternating walking gait. Optical training improved reproducibility of cultured muscle tissues, while caffeine treatment enhanced contractile force.

Multisensory Fusion for Unsupervised Spatiotemporal Speaker Diarization
Speaker diarization consists of answering the question of “who spoke when” in audio recordings. In meeting scenarios, the task of labeling audio with the corresponding speaker identities can be further assisted by the exploitation of spatial features ...

Learning‐Based Soft Robotic Grasping: Recent Progress and Remaining Challenges
This review analyzes learning‐based soft robotic grasping from a pipeline‐oriented perspective, encompassing soft gripper design, multimodal sensing, and learning‐based planning and control. It surveys key neural network architectures and benchmark datasets and identifies critical challenges such as sim‐to‐real transfer, generalization, and continual ...

Comparing Multi-Scale and Pipeline Models for Speaker Change Detection
Speaker change detection (SCD) in long, multi-party meetings is essential for diarization, Automatic speech recognition (ASR), and summarization, and is now often performed in the space of pre-trained speech embeddings.

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Spoof speech classification using deep speaker embeddings and machine learning models
This paper examines the effectiveness of deep speaker embeddings combined with machine learning classifiers for spoof speech detection. We leverage four state-of-the-art speaker embedding models: X-vector, Emphasized channel attention, propagation and ...

Prior Expectations Bias Confidence Judgments Through Parietal Alpha‐Band Modulation
ABSTRACT Humans possess the metacognitive ability to estimate the likely accuracy of their own decisions through confidence judgments. Yet, whether prior information shapes confidence and the neural mechanisms mediating such influence, remain to be determined.
